Materials pertain to the Institution’s internal and external activities. The series consists of correspondence, memoranda, brochures, articles, questionnaires, site and building plans, newsclippings, and journal reviews. Materials on JOI and JOIDES (Joint Oceanographic Institutions’ Deep Earth Sampling Program) were incorporated into this series; they span the years 1978 to 1983 (box 106, 107).
