This series spans the years 1940 and 1958 to 1970, and is arranged chronologically. Materials include speeches, talks and presentations given at conferences, schools, scientific societies, and dedication ceremonies. The first file in the series contains a list of speeches given by Fye in 1940, and from 1958 to 1970. The series also includes the MIT/WHOI signing ceremony speech for the Joint Program in Oceanography (box 72, f. 41).
